Aigle Vitrine #5 // retail window display // Aigle North America Flagship Store // Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada // 22 November– 19 December, 2010 // Responding to AIGLE's brand "to reconnect man with nature" and to the nautical character of Canada's Maritimes, a tableau in three parts was designed; a woman perched on a buoy and a floating god, separated by a question: "Has nature left you behind?"

Taking inspiration from Halifax Harbour and Georges Island, Nordic legends and Buddhist iconography, this display window attempted to awaken the pedestrian's subconscious wish for a greater connection to nature. The installation employed the newest techniques of CNC manufacturing to generate its life size figures, which, when combined with vibrant lighting refracted through aerating shallow pools of water, created a tangible connection between the viewer, Halifax's harbour and nature itself.
